Meet who the Colorado Pols named as the

"Libertarian Avenger"

I am a former Libertarian, now switching my campaign to the Republican Party.

Talk to James

James' Story

As pictured by Colorado Pols

My name is James Brooks Wiley, most People call me Jim or Red, and on twitter n/k/a X I’m known as the former anon @redddevil89 in 2022-2023, @james4peace_ 2023-2025, and nows @libertysosco

Youth

I was born in Colorado Springs in the winter of 1993 where I lived for 3 months before moving to the former soviet union with my family. After 15 years we moved back to Pueblo, CO and in 2011 I graduated from Pueblo County High School.

Education

I attended CU Boulder for 3 years studying computer science and biology and was politically active with caucusing for Ron Paul as well as with my local occupy movement where I joined the anonymous collective. After moving back to Pueblo to care for my elderly grandparents, I graduated in 2017 with a Management and Marketing Degree and an MBA from CSU-Pueblo.

Academic Politics

While in school I joined my university’s associated students’ government as a Senator for my business school, before being hired as the Executive Director of Infomation Technology, and later running and losing the election for student body president. My attempt to swear off politics moving forward was short-lived.

Principle over Party

In 2016 I made the strategic move in the Colorado presidential caucus to be registered as a democrat and advocate for Bernie Sanders who both wasn’t Hillary Clinton and was also unlikely to be successful in a general election, a poison pill in effect. Here I learned how the corruption of the uniparty made victims not of not only of the Libertarian party underdog but also of the most principled candidates even within their own camps. I then immediately returned home to the Libertarian Party as I did in 2012 after I caucused for Ron Paul.

Professional Career

My work experience during and after college involved technology, finance, and marketing. I had a financial services practice for 3 years before starting a business consulting agency specializing in marketing and technology services. Like many People, the events of 2020 changed my life forever.

2020 Crimes Against Humanity

I was just starting my company when the pandemic was announced and lockdowns began to be enforced. Out of a desire to be an essential worker and be permitted outside of the house, I began working at a medical rehab facility as a contractor caring for dementia patients. I was in this role for 3 months before my facility began to admit COVID patients and I was placed under a gag order by my superiors. Accordingly, I resigned and turned to political, civil, and human rights activism to express my outrage over our rapid devolvement into a tyrannical society.

#LetHerSpeak Demonstrations

As a long-time Libertarian voter in 2012, 2016, and 2020, I started by volunteering with the #letherspeak grassroots activist movement and became the Colorado Coordinator for the Libertarian protest convoys organized around the state. Leading up to the presidential general election debates we demanded that the news media report on Libertarian Candidates, demanded that polls required to obtain debate stage access include Libertarian candidates, and ultimately demanded that the presidential debates include Libertarian presidential candidate Jo Jorgensen.

2020 Election Racketeering

The crimes committed in the 2020 election became my next focus as I took on the Dominion Class Action lawsuit as project manager and later became the Director of Save Our Suffrage, the sponsoring non-profit organized for that purpose. We represented registered voters across the country in federal court who had been damaged and are being damaged by ongoing civil rights violations and racketeering committed but Dominion Voting Systems Inc., Facebook n/k/a Meta, the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), Mark Zuckerberg, Priscilla Chan, Brian Kemp personally, Brad Raffenspurger personally, Gretchen Whitmer personally, Joslyn Benson personally, Tom Wolf personally, and Kathy Boockvar personally. While our legal team has been persecuted by the media, by the courts, and by regulatory agencies, we have persisted and continue to fight for just elections. Next Tuesday, September 26th, 2023 our second appeal will be considered at the conference by the Supreme Court of the United States.

Lawsuit

Colorado's Criminal Recounts

In the summer of 2022, our experience with election law involved our legal team in organizing the recounts in the statistically impossible Republican primary elections for Secretary of State and the El Paso candidates. We had the pleasure of suing the Secretary, Jena Griswold, half a dozen times and the Clerk and Recorders for 63 counties in Colorado in state District and Supreme Courts for her malicious and highly illegal election recount conduct which she had the law changed in order to permit but only a year after the original election crimes had been committed.

Confronting the Cartel

On February 23rd, 2023 cartel investigator Jacquline Breger gave testimony at the Arizona Senate hearing on not only the money laundering and bribery of government officials taking place in Arizona but also election fraud and ballot trafficking activities of these international criminal organizations. Soon afterwards we joined Ms. Breger and the lead investigative attorney John Thaler in his work to stop the cartel’s war crimes against our country and its human victims. In partnership with them, we organized Project Thaler as an anti-child trafficking charitable organization to advocate for victims and their families and to exact vengeance on the government-partnered criminal cartels that are responsible. While no longer director I still support this work whole heartedly worked there as the director since March of this year. On September 19th, we released the investigative report titled Report to the Governor.

Wave of Hope

I became involved as the Secretary of a new start up non-profit 508 ministry called Wave of Hope designed to incubate and franchise cooperative community schools as a competitive alternative to the government system which alleges to provide public education.  (Picture with Board President Lori Cutunilli)

James4Peace

In 2024, I ran as the Libertarian candidate for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District under the banner james4peace, challenging the uniparty’s endless war machine and advocating for a complete defunding of foreign conflicts. My campaign was built around the conviction that true peace requires sovereignty at home and non-intervention abroad. To amplify this message, I organized the March4Peace protests—grassroots demonstrations across the district that brought together veterans, families, libertarians, and concerned citizens to demand an immediate end to overseas entanglements and a redirection of resources toward American communities. These marches highlighted the human cost of perpetual war and called for fiscal responsibility, individual liberty, and a foreign policy rooted in restraint. Though the congressional race did not secure victory, it forged lasting alliances and sharpened my focus on protecting liberty at the state level—lessons I now carry into my Republican candidacy for Secretary of State, where securing elections and records is the foundation for any lasting peace.

BIOS Password Leak

In November 2024, as a plaintiff alongside the Libertarian Party of Colorado and state chair Hannah Goodman, I co-filed a high-profile lawsuit in Denver District Court against Secretary of State Jena Griswold and Deputy Secretary Christopher Beall over the inadvertent posting of hundreds of BIOS passwords for election equipment on the SOS website—passwords exposed in hidden spreadsheet tabs for months, potentially as early as June before the primary. The suit demanded immediate decommissioning of affected machines, hand counts in impacted counties, recusal of the SOS office from the general election, and an independent investigation, arguing the breach voided certifications and risked undetectable manipulation. Though the court denied emergency relief on the eve of Election Day, this action—building on my prior Dominion and recount challenges—exposed critical vulnerabilities and amplified calls for machine-free elections, fueling my ongoing pledge as the Red Flame of Liberty to decertify all electronic voting systems and restore human sovereignty over our democracy.

LPCO Executive Director

As Executive Director of the Libertarian Party of Colorado (LPCO) in 2024 and 2025, I spearheaded innovative coalition-building efforts that forged historic alliances with Republicans, preventing vote-splitting and advancing liberty principles on a broader stage. Through the groundbreaking Liberty Pledge—a binding commitment to reducing taxes, protecting civil liberties, and limiting government overreach—we negotiated strategic withdrawals of Libertarian candidates in key races, clearing paths for pro-liberty Republicans while holding them accountable. This directly contributed to victories like U.S. Rep. Gabe Evans in Colorado's 8th District, where Libertarian Eric Joss withdrew and endorsed Evans after he signed a modified pledge. These coalitions helped flip seats and break the Democratic supermajority in the legislature, proving that targeted collaboration amplifies freedom far more than isolation. My leadership focused on sustainable growth, joint efforts, and outcomes that regenerated cross-partisan support for individual sovereignty—lessons I now apply as a Republican infiltrating the GOP to secure elections and records.

LPCO

LNC Alternate Region 1 Rep

As Alternate Region 1 Representative to the Libertarian National Committee (LNC), I fought tirelessly to defend legitimate state affiliate parties in court against fraudulent impersonation and hostile takeovers that threatened the integrity of the national movement. Working alongside dedicated libertarians, I advocated for strict adherence to bylaws, transparent recognition processes, and the disaffiliation of bad-faith actors attempting to seize control of state parties for personal or external agendas. My efforts helped protect authentic grassroots organizations and preserve the Libertarian Party’s credibility as a principled voice for freedom. I resigned this position in December 2025 upon switching to the Republican Party, a strategic move to regenerate a larger platform for liberty while continuing to champion the same uncompromised ideals that drove my work on the LNC. The fight for individual sovereignty transcends party lines, and I carry forward the lessons of those battles into my Republican candidacy for Colorado Secretary of State.
